Chad's new anti-gay penal code part of "terrible" trend

Rights activists are calling on Chad to scrap plans to criminalise homosexuality.
The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights is urging Chadian President Idriss Déby to reject proposed changes to the penal code.
Under those changes, gays and lesbians could spend up to 20 years in jail.
Kerry Kennedy, the president of the Robert F. Kennedy Center, says sending homosexuals to jail is a violation of Chad's own constitution
