Food distribution in Bangui, 3e arrt

WFP still provides food for thousands of displaced in Bangui, as here in Cattin neighbourhood, in the 3rd district of the capital, where people from the PK5 area are still living, because of the lack of security.

The food provided by WFP is distributed, by the Danish Refugee council, DRC, an NGO based in Denmark.


WFP and DRC employ local IDPs (internally displaced people) to work on the distribution:


Hundreds of families are still living in the camp, sometimes only a few meters away from their house, looted and destroyed during the pick of the crisis:
